gyoza with peanut slaw and rice

gyoza | serves 2 | prep time 5 mins | cook time 10 mins

ingredients

  • 8 itsu teryaki chick'n vegan gyoza 
  • 1 pouch cooked rice
  • 1/2 a white cabbage 
  • 1/2 a red cabbage 
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 radishes
  • a pinch of coriander 
  • 1 thumb of ginger, grated
  • 1 clove of garlic, grated
  • 1 tbsp chilli flakes 
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter  
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy 
  • 2 tbsp honey 
  • step 1

    Slaw: Finely chop the cabbage, carrot, radishes and coriander and mix in a bowl 

  • step 2

    Dressing: mix the ginger, garlic, chilli flakes, peanut butter, vinegar, soy and honey in a bowl, put half into a ramekin to serve as a dip. Add a splash of water to the rest of the mixture to use as a dressing over the slaw

  • step 3

    Heat the rice as per packet instructions

  • step 4

    Cook the itsu gyoza as per packet instructions.

  • step 5

    Combine the rice, gyoza and slaw on plates and serve
