chicken teriyaki bao buns with edamame & ginger slaw

you will need

  • 4 itsu chicken teriyaki bao buns get me
  • 1 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup white cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 100g cooked edamame beans
  • ½ carrot, cut into thin strips
  • ½ red pepper, cut into thin strips
  • small bunch of coriander
  • 1 tbsp toasted peanuts [optional]
  • dressing: ½ a lime, juiced
  • dressing: 2 tsp ginger, grated
  • dressing: 2 tbsp soy sauce

let's get cooking

  1. step 1

    prepare the slaw. add finely sliced red and white cabbage to a large bowl. add the edamame and thinly sliced carrot and red pepper

  2. step 2

    roughly chop the coriander and the peanuts [if using], add to the bowl with the rest of the vegetables

  3. step 3

    combine the ingredients for the dressing in a smal bowl, stir and pour over the slaw. mix well

  4. step 4

    steam the bao as per pack instructions. serve alongside the slaw & enjoy!
