gyoza in blankets

gyoza | serves 4 | prep time 15 mins | cook time 8 mins


  • 1 packet [12] itsu christmas gyoza
  • 6 strips smoked streaky bacon
  • 150g cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 clementine [juiced]
  • 2tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1tbp neutral oil
  • step 1

    Working one at a time, lay the bacon out on a board and cut in half widthways. Place a frozen gyoza at one end and roll the bacon around it until it’s totally wrapped up. Repeat for the rest of the gyoza.

    Set aside for 10 minutes to allow the gyoza to thaw slightly. This can be done ahead of time and let in the fridge.

    In the meantime blend the cranberry sauce, clementine juice and rice vinegar together until smooth. set aside.

  • step 4

    Heat a frying pan with a tbsp of oil and cook the gyoza in blankets, turning regularly for 7-8 minutes until the brown is crispy and the gyoza are heated through the middle

  • step 5

    Serve, dip and enjoy!
