kimchi gyoza stew

you will need

  • assorted vegetables [we used cabbage, mushrooms, pak choi, leek and onions]
  • 1 cup kimchi
  • your favourite itsu frozen gyoza
  • ½ pack tofu
  • 1 carton itsu classic ramen brilliant’broth
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • ½ tbsp red pepper flakes
  • sugar, to taste [optional]
  • soy sauce, to taste [optional]
  • green onion, to garnish
  • sesame oil, to garnish

let's get cooking

  1. step 1

    Wash and prep the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Arrange them in the base of a large pot, then add the kimchi.

  2. step 2

    Pour in the itsu classic ramen brilliant’broth and add the gochujang and red pepper flakes. Add sugar and soy sauce to taste, if using.

  3. step 3

    Cover with the lid and simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes.

  4. step 4

    In the last 10 minutes, add the frozen gyoza and sliced tofu. Continue to simmer with the lid on until the gyoza is cooked through.

  5. step 5

    Finish with green onion and a dash of sesame oil, then serve hot.
