2025/6 curriculum

Our fully funded classroom takeovers are 90-minute sessions designed for Year 4. Our YK leader and buddies travel the country turning classrooms into kitchens.

The takeover begins with game-based discussions about what healthier means, the 5 Food Groups, where veg comes from and the specific benefits of vitamins & minerals.

Every student is given a cookbooklet and kit'bag with the ingredients needed for our rainbow ramen recipe. Together we peel, chop, grate and spiralise fresh veg ready to take home. 

The Apron Awards recognise 3 students for their precision, use of colour and chef skills. The takeover then finishes with a race to turn our kitchen back into a classroom again.
