Dr Emma says

"Seaweed is high in vitamin B12 and iodine. Vitamin B12 is an essential micronutrient required for the development and functioning of the nervous system. Those following a vegan diet in particular should focus on consuming foods higher in vitamin B12 [along with supplementation] because it is harder to consume the recommended amount from plants alone. Seaweed is also high in fibre, which may support healthy blood sugar levels."
